More major sporting events are either postponing or canceling schedules for 2020  due to the Coronavirus. Wimbledon is the latest to fall. Tennis at Wimbledon was scheduled to be held June 29 - July 12 just outside of London. Following an emergency meeting by the organizers at the All England Club on Wednesday a decision was reached to call off the event entirely.

Another huge event that will not happen this year is the British Open.  Scheduled for July 16-19 at Royal St. George's in England in July the PGA elected to cancel for 2020.  It joins a number of other professional golf events that have either been postponed or outright cancelled.

Major League Baseball announced the cancellation of a two-game series between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals in London scheduled for June 13-14.  The teams were set to play at Olympic Stadium.  That word came out while professional baseball continues to delay the start of the season.  MLB had season openers planned on March 26.
