When I was in high school, there was a wing devoted to kids with handicaps and one of the students was a sweet girl who wanted so badly to be asked to prom. One of my classmates discussed it with his girlfriend, and they decided he should ask the girl to senior prom. I cried then. And I cried again when I saw this.

Autumn Pollard is a high school student in Corning, Arkansas who suffers from a genetic condition called Noonan Syndrome, which affects her growth and heart. Autumn also battles with many other health issues that force her to spend most of her day in a wheelchair. But the bottom line is that she's a teenage girl and she recently got the prom-posal every high school girl dreams of.

During a pep rally, Autumn was called to center stage to do a little dance with the mascot, which is something she does on a regular basis, so there wasn't anything out of the ordinary there. But, what she didn't realize was that, with the help of the football team and the rest of the student body, high school sophomore and football player Cope Robinson was planning something special. Cope had members of the football team hold up letters that spelled out P-R-O-M-? and then he walked up to her with a bouquet of purple flowers, which is her favorite color.

Autumn said "yes," and the whole school went nuts! The video has gone viral, and Cope hopes it inspires other kids to ask people to prom who they want to go with rather than who others think they should go with.
