There has never been a better reason to go out and enjoy lunch or dinner during Binghamton Restaurant week,, yesterday I enjoyed lunch at Little Venice restaurant.

Seven years ago, a group of restaurant owners in Binghamton got together to share some of their favorite dishes and at the same time promote local businesses while creating community value, and restaurant week was born.

Restaurant week (March 21st through March 30th)is a great way to support local business and enjoy a really nice meal.

Each participating restaurant will offer a three-course meal for lunch or dinner that features an appetizer, an entrée’ and a dessert.

Restaurant week also ties in a charity element giving back to our community and this year proceeds will go to the Children’s Home and the Binghamton Boys and Girls club

Yesterday I had lunch at Little Venice Restaurant, 111 Chenango Street in Downtown Binghamton.

I had the traditional Venice Salad which is very generously proportional, my entrée’ was the Rigatoni with house made vodka sauce, and for dessert the scrumptious chocolate mousse.

I grew up in Binghamton and have eaten there throughout the years,  I don't recall ever having a bad experience and Little Venice sauce is the best, in fact they have just started selling it in jars so grab some and store it in your pantry.

So make lunch or dinner plans today or tomorrow and enjoy some of the delicious foods from our local eateries.
