Dozens of people are to be hired in the coming weeks to staff the planned drug treatment facility planned in the Town of Dickinson.

Broome County officials say about 50 positions will be filled for the program.

Syracuse Behavioral Healthcare will be working with Broome-Tioga Workforce to find qualified workers.

The services at the former Broome Developmental Center site will include inpatient withdrawal and stabilization.

People interested in working at the facility may attend an informational meeting on Thursday, January 18. The session will be held at the Koffman Southern Tier Incubator on Hawley Street from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Resumes will be accepted at the event.

The following week, a career fair is planned at the Broome County Public Library on Court Street in Binghamton. Syracuse Behavioral Healthcare and other local heathcare employers will participate in that event, which will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on January 25.
