Tonight is a huge night at the Tioga County Fair as real cowboys and cowgirls will be coming to town as part of the Painted Pony Championship Rodeo which just so happens to be the only professionally sanctioned rodeo of its kind in a ten-county area!

The Dash for Cash amateur event will kick off at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon and the rodeo itself will begin at 7:00 p.m. Three rodeo queens will also make an appearance and be on hand to sign autographs. They are Miss Rodeo New York, Noelle White of Brewerton, Miss Teen Rodeo New York Emma Smith, and Lil' Miss First Frontier Circuit, Georgia Warner of Marathon.

If you've got a little cowboy or cowgirl in your life, tonight is the night to make their dreams come true with the free Kids "Buckaroo" Rodeo which will start at 5:30 p.m. No registration is required, you just need to have your kids there by 5:15 p.m. if they want to participate. Also, the rodeo queens will be looking for the best-dressed little cowboy or cowgirl during the kid's rodeo, so dress to impress!

Announcing the rodeo will be a real-life cowboy himself, Kurt Warner of Berkshire who has announced the American Finals Rodeo two times in Atlantic City, NJ. Warner is also a retired real-life cowboy. And, if one of the rodeo cowboys looks familiar, you might just know him! Jamie Griswold is a native of Bainbridge and rides both bull and bronco.
