UH OH! SNL Actor BOOED At Syracuse Basketball Game
On Saturday afternoon, I'm enjoying a little downtime and decided to watch the surging Syracuse Orange men's basketball team as they took on a struggling Louisville team at the Carrier Dome.
During one of the timeouts in the first half, the camera panned into the crowd and I saw Adam Weitsman sitting in the stands. I couldn't wait to see what celebrity he invited to snowy New York this time.
I didn't immediately recognize the guy wearing a Cuse winter hat and sunglasses that was sitting next to him. Then I heard some booing and I thought, "well this can't be good."
Pete Davidson At Syracuse Men's Basketball Game
A few moments after the camera panned on this actor, they showed his face on the jumbotron. Then the boos rained throughout the dome like Buddy Boeheim 3 point shots...It was coming from everywhere. It was none other than Pete Davidson.
I thought it was because he's dating Kim Kardashian and Syracuse loves Kayne West and the fans were disappointed that she is with Davidson now. It turns out, that I wasn't even close.
Back in 2018, Davidson was in Syracuse filming a movie called "Big Time Adolescence." During his stay, he joked that the nicest hotel in Syracuse is like a "flippin" Ramada and never again Syracuse.
He rubbed more salt in the Cuse wound in 2021 when he appeared on Saturday Night Live and wore a Syracuse sweatshirt. It's no surprise that Weitsman offered him an olive branch and all seems to be forgiven and Davidson would like a truce.
It also helps that the Orange put a squeeze on the Cardinals with a dominating 92-69 win. It's their 3rd win in a row as they head toward the end of the regular season. Hopefully, they can keep it going on when they take on Tuesday, February 8th when they take on Boston College.
