The 16-year-old girl was apparently traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a left-hand turn on C.C. Allis Road in Orwell Township at around 10:30 a.m..

Her 2002 Ford Mustang crashed head-on into a tree and spun sideways into a second tree.

Troopers say the airbags did not deploy and the girl was not wearing a seat belt.
