After several people stepped forward to address the crowd under a red tent displaying signage from Progressive Leaders of Tomorrow (PLOT), organizers announced the demonstration would move to the Binghamton Police Headquarters at City Hall on Hawley Street.

Police say hundreds made the approximately one-and-a-half mile trek from the park to downtown chanting Floyd's name and "No Justice, No Peace".

Law enforcement officers from Binghamton, Broome County Sheriff's Office and New York State Police, some in riot gear, formed a barrier protecting City Hall and here were reports of profanities shouted by some at the police, but no physical confrontations.

The demonstration against racial bias and police brutality that began at around 7 p.m., mostly broke up before thunderstorms with heavy rain swept through the area after 1 a.m. dispersing the stragglers.

Binghamton Police said, "they were all peaceful and well-behaved." There were no arrests reported an no incidents of vandalism.
