Owego Strawberry Festival Highlights

This weekend, over 200 vendors and artisans will line the streets of downtown Owego as the Southern Tier comes out in droves to support the 35th Annual Owego Strawberry Festival.  This is the fun and tasty festival that so many look forward to the third weekend of every June.  For many, it's the sure sign of Summer.

Festival organizers are always adding some fun ideas to keep the Strawberry Festival fresh.... pun intended!  In addition to the rides, games and parade, here are some of the highlights for this year's festival:

Straw Dawgs Strut Their Stuff Contest

Owego Strawberry Shake 5K Run and Walk + Strawberry Shake 1 Mile Kids Run

Berry Best Strawberry Hat Contest where you create your own strawberry inspired bonnet. The $5 entry fee benefits "A New Hope Center."

Miss/ Mrs. Strawberry Pageant

The Owego Strawberry Festival runs Friday evening from 5-10:30pm and Saturday from 9am-5pm in downtown Owego.
