It's the third and final weekend for the 2020 Binghamton Pond Festival. It'll be a little unseasonably warm for the weekend but the ice will be firm and fast with their refrigeration system.

It's a 4 vs 4 tournament (age 21+) at Chenango Valley State Park, 153 State Park Road in Chenango Forks. The play begins on Friday, January 24th at 3 p.m.

If you can only make it one day this weekend, Saturday, January 25th is the day. The outdoor hockey starts at 8 a.m. with the Pond Fest's Hockey Trail Run and Snowshow Races beginning at 3 p.m.

Stick around after play is done on Saturday for the Pond Fest Fireworks Show. It all wraps up on Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. and finishes with the championships games at 3 p.m.

This weekend (like the other two weekends) benefits the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier (MHAST) Do It For Daron (DIFD) Power to the Purple youth mental health initiative.

To see the complete schedule including the trail run and live music by Kiil, go here. There are 40 teams participating, so you are bound to know somebody.

As they say, ice hockey is meant to be played outdoors and the friends you make through hockey are the best ones. Stop by for the final weekend at Chenango Valley State Park and find out for yourself.
