This is a way for participants to raise money be asking friends, family, colleagues, and acquaintances for donations. It's back for the first time in three years and it's happening this Saturday, November 12th.

Your support for the Polar Plunge helps the athletes of Special Olympics New York to participate in trainings, activities, and competitions at no cost to them or their caregivers.

It'll happen in the freezing waters at Chenango Valley State Park beginning at 10 a.m. Not only does this help them to raise funds but it also raises awareness for the Special Olympics New York athletes in the Southern Tier Region.

Collin and Kaitlyn are two athletes that will be participating on Saturday. I've known their family before they were even born and I've been able to watch them grow through the years. If you are looking to help an athlete, they would love your support.
