The Pre-Licensing Course which is also known as the five-hour course is now designed to safely meet the demand for driver training, while at the same time meeting the state's social distancing guidelines as courses can now be held through distance learning via Zoom, WebEx, Go To Meeting and Skype.

Governor Cuomo states, "The pre-licensing course is critical for New Yorkers to learn how to drive safely, and allowing driving schools to teach this course remotely will allow courses to resume without risking the health and safety of those participating."
