In 2017, Nintendo introduced the "Switch", which sold over 10 million units in less than a year. The gaming console has been a must for gamers everywhere and now, Nintendo is adding its portable "lighter" version.

According to WKBW, the Nintendo Switch Lite will hit stores on September 20th and is designed to be exclusively portable.

The portable gaming console will have a touch screen, slightly lighter than the original switch and a slightly longer battery life (lasting about seven hours).

The "Switch Lite" will come in three colors: yellow, turquoise and gray.

It will also cost $199.99, which is $100 less than a Nintendo Switch original.

Our household has a Nintendo Switch already and I don't really play any video games while away from the house, so I don't know how much use I'll have for this console. It's coming out before the holiday season though and with sales for the original Switch tapering off, this release makes sense.
