A man who was allegedly driving without a license faces felony drug charges after a traffic stop in the town of Colesville.

Authorities say 45-year-old William Applegate of Thorn Hill Road, Nineveh was arrested Tuesday morning.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, Applegate was pulled over on Centerville Loop Road by a deputy who knew the man did not have a valid license.

Applegate was found to be in possession of one-and-a-half ounces of a substance that tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.

Applegate was charged with misdemeanor and felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He also was charge with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
