Endicott, New York Resident Found Guilty of Possessing Stolen Property
Broome County District Attorney, F. Paul Battisti, announced that on November 14, 2024, a Broome County Jury reached a verdict in the case of Nicky L. Lynch, a 38-year-old resident of Endicott. Lynch was found guilty of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree following an incident on March 27, 2024.
The New York State Police encountered Lynch in possession of a stolen Gator UTV, which was estimated to be valued at over $3,000. Testimonies presented during the trial revealed that Lynch had been utilizing the stolen UTV on multiple occasions throughout March 2024. In a statement provided to the investigators, Lynch admitted to having suspicions that the UTV might have been stolen.
Lynch is now set to appear for sentencing on February 14, 2025, before the Honorable Carol A. Cocchiola. District Attorney Battisti emphasized the gravity of the situation stating, “Once again, this guilty verdict sends a clear message that our community will not tolerate criminal behavior. We take these crimes seriously and will continue to prosecute those who violate the law and undermine public trust.”
The New York State Police investigated this case, while Senior Assistant District Attorney Nathaniel J. O’Neil handled the prosecution for the District Attorney’s Office.
