New York Ranks Eighth in Personal Expenditure – What Are New Yorkers Spending On?
A study just dropped some eye-opening insights on the highest-spending states across the good ol' USA, and guess what – New York took the 8th spot in this spending shindig.
So, who's taking home the crown for king of the spenders? Well, Massachusetts is strutting its stuff at the top, flashing a total personal consumption expenditure of $64,214 per capita. They're splashing the cash on everything from housing and utilities to health care – no doubt living the high life!
And hot on Massachusetts' heels, we have got New Hampshire and Connecticut taking the second and third spots. New Hampshire’s dishing out $60,828 per capita, whereas Connecticut's big wallets are jingling with $60,413 per person.
But let's not skip over California, New Jersey, Colorado, Alaska, and Washington, who all know a thing or two about living large as well.
Now, let's talk about the Empire State – New York! Clocking in at 8th place, New Yorkers are throwing down an average of $58,571 per capita. They're not holding back on financial services, insurance, or tasty food and accommodations.
And last but certainly not least, poor Mississippi is bringing up the rear with a total personal consumption expenditure of $39,678 per capita. Looks like they're keeping it low key in the spending department.
Whether it's health care, housing, or just a good old-fashioned feast, it's clear that folks across America are embracing the spending life!
