For those with life-threatening allergies, a mislabel on a food package can have deadly consequences. Conagra Brands, Inc. has announced a major recall of more than two million pounds of frozen meals due to mislabeling which left off a known allergen on meal packaging: milk.

The recalled products are for PF Chang's home menu Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Fried Rice. If you have any of these in your freezer, check the packaging for best by dates of September 26, 2019, through April 5, 2020. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, “The products subject to this recall bear establishment number “EST. P-115,” which appears on the panel above the nutritional statement as “P115” along with the best by date.”

While there haven’t been reports of anyone getting sick, the USDA suggests that anyone with a known dairy allergy who consumed the recalled product should contact a medical provider. If you have the recalled product, you can either return it to the store where you bought it or you can throw it away.
