Miranda Welch is a 98.1 The Hawk superfan. A lifelong country music aficionado, Miranda has been featured on 981thehawk.com before in a video of her singing that received a hugely positive response. Now, Miranda is back to vie for the title of 'Hitmaker' and is using her passion to drive her.

Miranda says of 98.1 The Hawk,

Of course, it’s the best radio station! I program other people’s radio dials to 98.1 the Hawk whenever I'm in their cars. I’ve listened since I was a kid.

When she's not championing country music throughout her hometown, Miranda is also a co-conspirator to keeping Rich Birdsall consistently caffeinated. She works at a local Starbucks, loves T.G.I. Friday's on the Vestal Parkway, and spends a lot of free time singing. Miranda's penchant for song has landed her spots in talent shows, junior idols, and cruise ship performances.

There's no musical history in her family, so Miranda is blazing a trail and looking to become the first person in her family to pursue a future in music. Miranda's seen Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Bucky Covington, and Little Big Town in concert.
