A Binghamton man has been named in a three-count indictment for a deadly attack involving a glass mug.

According to the Broome County District Attorney's Office, 42-year-old Miguel Manchion is accused of causing the death of Lazar Jones.

Manchion is believed to have assaulted the 51-year-old Jones with the glass mug, causing his death.

Police were called to an apartment house at 84 Pine Street on the morning of March 16 to investigate a report of an injured man. When officers arrived, they found Jones lying unresponsive on the front porch of the building.

Detectives said Jones was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Manchion has been indicted on two counts of manslaughter and one count of assault.

Investigators initially charged Manchion and 20-year-old Courtney Baldwin with murder in connection with the death of Jones. Baldwin has not been indicted
