This weekend happens to be a big weekend for Luke Bryan fans that listen to the Hawk!  Saturday morning we have some big news on how you can meet Luke in person.  Glenn and Traci will tell you more.  But Sunday night, we have the CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year as our in-studio co-host on Country Countdown USA, Sunday night 7-10pm on 98.1 The Hawk.

Host Lon Helton asked Luke, "how does it feel to be the ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year? "Crazy...I feel like...doesn't Serena Williams have all four titles, and Tiger did it at one time? It's an amazing thing to hear, and I thank the fans every night for that title, and it's something I think about every day.  What's fun is it makes you bring your game even more.  Nothing about country music makes you relax."

The same night that Luke won Entertainer, his buddy Cole Swindell won New Artist. "So proud of him, what a night."  In the notes to Luke's new album, he calls Cole "Lish," so what does that mean? Sunday night Luke will tell you all about it on the Hawk!

Last week, Luke walked in on Jason Aldean while he was co-hosting.  At the time, Jason was telling us about a fishing trip he was on with Luke and his son Bo.  So obviously we wanted to know the rest of the story.
Luke's new album, Kill The Lights, will be released next week. It follows the multi-platinum career changing album Crash My Party.  That's quite an act to follow: "It's a daunting challenge.  We didn't set out to change the world with the last album.  Kill The Lights feels like we can even go beyond that.  Not that we're going to do that, but we're proud of this new album."

Back in March, Luke made his first-ever tour of Europe, so how'd it go? He loved it and will talk more about his experience Sunday night at 7.

A few weeks ago, Little Big Town did the show, and they told a story about crashing a golf cart into Luke's bus during CMA Music Festival.  We played that story for Luke, and here's his response: "I'm sitting on the bus, and it felt like my bus shook.  I said, 'I think somebody just hit my bus!'  I peep out the window, and there's Little Big Town, and they backed into my tour bus.  They just put a little dent in my bay door.  Luckily, they can swap out that door very easily.  But they will never outlive that one.  I'm sure the TV cameras caught that, and it'll probably be part of the TV special." And of course, the CMA Music Festival: Country's Night To Rock will air Tuesday August 4th on ABC-TV.

Luke also has great stories this week about Randy Houser, Thomas Rhett, Little Big Town, Brad Paisley, and Florida Georgia Line.
