So many people, unfortunately, have been cut from their jobs because of the coronavirus. A lot of those people have applied for unemployment. NBCnews.com recently reported that there was a record-breaking number of unemployment applications in the U.S.

According to NBCnews.com, just last week 6.6 million Americans filed for unemployment because of the coronavirus. That's a huge number!  It was mentioned on NBC’s website that analysts believe that number is a lot bigger because many other Americans have had trouble filing for unemployment.

WalletHub.com put together a list of "States with the Biggest Increase in Unemployment Due to Coronavirus.” On the list, New Jersey lands in the 38th spot and Pennsylvania takes 28th.

On Wallet Hub, it shows that New Jersey had a 2881.07% unemployment claims increase from 2019. Pennsylvania had an increase of 3758.17%.
