Kane Brown gave us a new rendition of his song "Good as You" with a stripped-down version for New Music Friday on Friday (April 26).

The heartfelt song was inspired by Brown's wife, Katelyn.

"I just wanna wake up every day here in this bed / Never leave 'I love you' left unsaid / It might take a hundred lifetimes to do / But baby, I just wanna be good as you / Good as you, baby," Brown sings in the chorus.

The new acoustic piano-based version of the song makes the listener truly hone in on what he's singing about. His original single is a breezy and upbeat song that you can't help but sway along and smile to, while this version offers more depth and shows off Brown's vocals.

"Good as You" appears on Brown's current studio album, Experiment, which he released in November of 2018. Brown teamed with Brock Berryhill, Shy Carter, Taylor Phillips and Will Weatherly to write "Good as You." The song is perfect for a couple in the honeymoon phase, describing how he wants to always say "I love you" and be as good of a person as his spouse.

Earlier this month, Brown and his wife announced that they are expecting their first child. The couple married at a farm in Tennessee in October of 2018 in an intimate ceremony for their close friends and family. Brown's own guitarist, Alex Anthony, stood up in the wedding as a groomsman.

Brown will join Jason Aldean and Carly Pearce on the Ride All Night Tour this summer.
