Johnson City Police are investigating "an incident" in the area where a Village businessman was murdered only a few days earlier.

Few details have been released but Police were called to Grand Avenue in the area of Riverside Drive and Boland Drive at around 10:30 p.m. April 9 with residents in the area saying a shot or shots were heard.

Police were still on the scene collecting evidence at 2:50 a.m. but are not yet saying if anyone was targeted by gunfire.

The intersection is where Halal Bites restaurant is located and where the owner, 50-year-old Shakeel Kahn was shot several times as h was closing his business for the night on March 30.

Police still have not made any arrests in the unarmed businessman's murder.
