Jersey Mike’s Subs Set To Open New Location in Vestal

Jersey Mike’s, a sub shop known for its top-quality meats, cheeses, and freshly baked bread will soon be expanding its brand into Vestal with not one, but two locations.

Jersey Mike’s Subs got its start in 1956 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, and today, the business operates more than 2,000 locations including the Southern Tier’s first Jersey Mike’s location on Upper Front Street in Binghamton.

Soon, people on the other side of town won’t have to drive quite as far to get their hands on a Jersey Mike’s sub as the franchise will be opening a location on the Vestal Parkway in Vestal in the very near future.

Jersey Mike’s has already secured a space in University Plaza, 4700 Vestal Parkway East. University Plaza is the plaza that houses, in addition to student housing for Binghamton University students, Coppertop Tavern, Tully’s, Five Guys, Core Life Eatery, and others.

The Jersey Mike’s sign can be seen on the shop itself and on the University Plaza sign. Sources tell Townsquare Media that the University Plaza Jersey Mikes location will open sometime toward the end of January 2023. The Jersey Mike’s website confirms the soon-to-open Vestal location at University Plaza on the Vestal Parkway.

The Jersey Mike's Subs location at 1257 Upper Front Street in the town of Chenango opened in the summer of 2021 in the former Hoopla Frozen Yogurt location. Prior to the opening of the Jersey Mike's Subs on Upper Front Street, the closest restaurant location was in Oneonta.
