
State Trooper, Woman Hurt in Endwell Rush-Hour Crash
Rush hour traffic was slowed on East Main Street in Endwell after a vehicle collided with a state police car.
The head-on crash occurred around 8 a.m. Friday near the Chaumont Drive intersection.
According to state police, a trooper was traveling westbound on East Main Street when his car collided with a Toyota Camry. The Toyota was making a left turn into the parking lot of the town of Union office building.
The state trooper - whose name was not released - sustained injuries. He was taken to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City for treatment and released.
The 69-year-old woman was had been driving the Toyota also was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
A state police news release indicated she failed to yield the right of way while attempting to turn into the parking lot.
One westbound lane of East Main Street was closed during the crash investigation.
The collision occurred a short distance west of the state police Endwell station.
