State police are investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle and a sport utility vehicle in Tioga County.

Authorities said the crash occurred shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday on Route 434 and Forest Hill Road in Apalachin.

Investigators said an SUV that had been northbound on Forest Hill Road turned onto the highway. The sport utility vehicle driver apparently did not see the motorcycle on Route 434.
