Spiders. Your thoughts? They serve a purpose on this planet. I don't mind them. That is, unless they take up residency in my shower. That's where I draw the line. There is no reason for a spider to be in my shower.

Well, like them or not, and many people are freaked out when confronted by a spider, there's a new type of spider coming to New York and New Jersey according to a report from CBS News.

These are not just your ordinary type spider. The report notes that these spiders are called Joro Spiders, which are venomous, have 4-inch-long legs and can parachute through the air. Isn't that wonderful?

The good and bad thing about the Joro Spider is that while they can help control insect population, having another non-native species can disrupt ecosystems. As for the venomous part, New Jersey Pest Control notes that while their venom is not deadly to humans, some persons could experience discomfort and allergic reactions if bitten.

According to the CBS News report, has already been spotted  throughout the eastern part of the country, from Florida to Maryland. While the Joro Spider has not yet crossed into New York yet, experts say it's just a matter of time, so get used to them, because they will be here to stay...hopefully not in my shower.
