The Poughkeepsie Journal is reporting, that Woodstock 50 might end up being held at Vernon Downs Raceway, just west of Utica, Oneida County.

The report said that they have received confirmation from a media representative for Vernon Downs racino, that promoters, maybe Michael Lang, the original promoter of the 1969 Woodstock festival, has reached out to them to see about possibly hosting the event at the horse-track.

In a separate article, the Poghkeepsie Journal reported that Woodstock 50 lost their appeal to try and receive 18 and a half million from their original financial partners. You can read that article here.

The festival was scheduled to be held at Watkins Glen International race track, but the racetrack cancelled the contract earlier this month.

Tickets have still yet to go on sale for the 3-day weekend that is supposed to feature Jay-Z, Santana, Miley Cyrus, and dozens of other acts. And it's was supposed to take place August 16,17, and 18th.

Both Santana and John Fogerty played the original Woodstock in 1969, and they are both scheduled to play the Woodstock 50th anniversary where ever it ends up, and at Bethel Woods for the Performing Arts Center that same weekend.
