During the first week of January, the Broome County government handed out thousands of free Covid-19 home tests with two drive-thrus at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton. First on Wednesday, January 5th, and again on Saturday, January 8th.

Both days saw a very large turnout, with traffic jams during the first round, but much better traffic control during that Saturday round. So, it's quite obvious that these Covid-19 at-home tests are in high demand.

Other areas in Broome as well as some other neighboring counties have also conducted Covid-19 at-home test kit giveaways. If you picked up a Covid-19 at-home test from your county or elsewhere, and you feel it's time to test to see if you are positive or negative for the coronavirus, check out the video here for easy instructions.

So, if your Covid-19 at-home test kit gives you a positive result, what's next? Certainly doing nothing is a bad thing to do. The right thing is to contact your county health department. Each county in New York State and Pennsylvania has resources to help you and to report that positive result.

To guide you in the right direction and help you with reporting a positive Covid-19 test result, here are some links below to give you that information for counties in and around the Binghamton area.
