A long running charity event is coming back to Binghamton, New York, and it's about helping families facing cancer. The 15th Annual Hockey 4 Hope charity game is March 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. The event is free to attend and open to the community.

A Game Created in Aunt Connie’s Honor

Hockey 4 Hope began in 2010. The very first game was created to honor Constance “Connie” Glauser, who passed away from breast cancer in 2006. Those who knew Connie remember her quick smile and positive attitude. Organizers say the event was built to reflect her spirit and to help other families facing similar battles.

Raising Money to Ease the Burden of Cancer

The goal of Hockey 4 Hope is to raise money to help families dealing with the financial strain that can come with cancer. Funds from the event benefit The Constance Foundation, which supports people in need during treatment. Medical bills, travel, and daily expenses can add up fast, and this event helps lighten that load.

Hockey Legends Hit the Ice

Each year, the charity game brings in well known hockey players and local talent. In 2026, fans can expect to see names like Bernie Nicholls, Jerry D'Amigo, Theo Fleury, Don Biggs, and Chris Bala. For hockey fans, it is a chance to see familiar faces on the ice while skating for a fantastic cause.

More Than Just a Hockey Game

Hockey 4 Hope is more than a sporting event, it is a community getting together to give back. It has become one of the area’s major charity hockey games, bringing together fans, families, sponsors, and supporters who all want to make a difference.

Men's Team USA 2026 Wins Hockey Gold Over Canada!

For the first time since the 1980 Miracle on Ice Men's Hockey team won the Olympic gold, and on the same day the Americans beat the Soviets on the ice at Lake Placid in 1980, Team USA wins the gold after defeating Canada in overtime.
