The Broome County Sheriff’s Office and the Town of Fenton join forces to remind community members about the upcoming road closures in preparation for the Hillcrest St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Scheduled for Sunday, March 2 from 12:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., the event will lead to the closure of specific roads in the Town of Fenton.

Road Closures to Expect

During the parade hours, the following roads will be inaccessible to vehicle traffic:

  • Chenango Street from West Service Road to Nowlan Road
  • Nowlan Road between East Service Road and Saluda Street
  • East Service Road from Nowlan Road intersection to E. Service Road Crossover overpass
  • West Service Road between Chenango Street intersection and the American Legion

Importance of Avoiding Closed Roads

During the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Hillcrest, the mentioned roads will be closed from 12:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Drivers should avoid these closed roads to keep everyone at the parade safe. Sheriff Fred Akshar thanks the Town of Fenton, Hillcrest Community Association, and all the organizers for working together to make the parade fun and secure.
