Police found heroin in a hotel room at Tioga Downs Casino Resort in a search following a traffic stop that turned up more than a half pound of crystal methamphetamine.

Authorities say four people were arrested after a car was pulled over on West Talmadge Hill Road in the town of Barton.

State police, along with members of the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, Waverly police and Vestal police were involved in the traffic stop.

Investigators say the vehicle was being driven by 35-year-old Jessica Forsythe of Corning. She was wanted on a felony drug warrant issued in Steuben County.

The large quantity of crystal meth was found hidden on top of the vehicle's engine.

Police learned Forsythe and three passengers in the car had booked a hotel room at Tioga Downs. Heroin and drug paraphernalia were discovered when the room was searched.

Forsythe and those who were in the vehicle all have been charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. They were arraigned in Barton town court and sent to Tioga County Jail without bail.
