Chenango County Habitat for Humanity (CCHH) is gearing up for a special fundraiser that bargain hunters won’t want to miss!

The three-day Habitat Yard Sale kicks off today, Thursday, September 12, and runs through Saturday, September 14. The sale, at 16 North Canal Street in Oxford next to the Mirabito, will be open today and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Chenango County Habitat for Humanity Yard Sale promises to offer something for everyone, with hundreds of items displayed under three large tents. From housewares and collectibles to crafts and much more, the yard sale will feature tables, chairs, tools, small appliances, lamps, antiques, clothing, shoes, plants, books, toys, holiday items, golf clubs, sewing machines, fabrics, and a wide variety of other items just waiting to find new homes.

All proceeds from the sale will directly support CCHH's home repair house projects, including recent completion in Oxford and ongoing initiatives in Smithville Flats.

When you shop at the Chenango County Habitat for Humanity Yard Sale, you are contributing to the mission of helping to provide affordable housing to families in Chenango County and making dreams of home ownership a reality.

If you would like more information about the Chenango County Habitat for Humanity Yard Sale or the work that CCHH is doing in the community, you can reach out to Audrey Johnson at (607) 843-6249.

This article begins a series of county spotlights which we will revisit in the months ahead. We hope to feature all of Upstate's 50 counties in this series. These articles are not meant to be exhaustive, in-depth looks at everything about a certain county. But rather a postcard post-it note album of a few of the highlights that each county has.

We start today in Central New York with beautiful Chenango County!
