According to a posting on the credit union’s facebook page and website: www.guthriefcu.org/index.php/events/ , the skimmer has been removed but may have affected individuals who used the ATM on North Elmer Avenue between July 11 and July 28.

Officials said that upon learning about the incident, Guthrie FCU began its own investigation and are monitoring the accounts of affected members.

The credit union says it began contacting the members impacted by the device yesterday and they will be issued new cards.

The posting states: “Members who have experienced losses and charges due to the fraudulent transactions as a result of this incident will have their funds fully restored.”
