According to WBNG, two teenage girls, 16 and 19, were injured by a driver suspected to be under the influence. The accident occurred at the intersections of Lincoln Avenue and Beethoven Street, as the girls walked home from Recreation Park around 3:30 p.m.

The girls were taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital Emergency department to be treated for their injuries.

A GoFundMe account has been created and has been circulating on social media.

According to the GoFundMe:

We are hoping to alleviate the cost of their medical bills and other expenses through this GoFundMe. Even a small donation helps, we are just hoping to make this incredibly difficult time a little easier on both them and their families.
