Firefighters from Whitney Point and the Town of Maine joined Glen Aubrey at the scene of the blaze on Pendell Hill Road at around 7:18 p.m.

The fire was reported “knocked down” in less than a half hour. No one was in the apartment and there were no injuries.

Through the morning of April 7, firefighters in the City of Binghamton and Endwell were busy with several blazes.

Binghamton firefighters responded to a dumpster fire moments before a blaze at an apartment on Cleveland Avenue was reported shortly before 7 a.m.

That fire resulted in a woman being transported to the hospital with reported burns to her hands while others in the home were said to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Minutes before City of Binghamton crews were called out to Cleveland Avenue, firefighters from Endwell were summoned to a structure fire at 3000 Wayne Street.  That blaze was said to have been knocked down in about an hour.
