It appears that the Oakdale Mall is losing another store after a national clothing brand filed for bankruptcy earlier this week.

According to papers filed in Delaware federal bankruptcy court, and reported by Spectrum News, the Forever 21 store located in the Oakdale Mall is among hundreds on a list of stores it plans to close.

It's important to note that it's possible that not all of the locations on the list will close, but that the locations are listed as the most unprofitable and will close if no further deals are reached.

The closure would be another blow to a rough couple of years for the Oakdale Mall, with Sears, Macy's, and several other national chains leaving the area.

There is some shred of hope however, with news that some Broome County Services, Lourdes, and Beer Tree planning on moving into the former Sears space. A local professional wrestling promotion is also slated to take over the space once used by Rue 21.

Forever 21 stores at Destiny USA in Syracuse and at Sangertown Square in New Hartford are also slated for closure.
