Fire officials are looking into the cause of an early morning blaze June 8 that began on a porch of a home in the Town of Dickinson.

Emergency Services officials say the fire was reported at 2:59 a.m. at the home at 613 Old Front Street and Sheriff’s Deputies on the scene assisted in putting water on the flames until crews from the Town of Chenango, Port Dickinson and Chenango Bridge got on-site. 

The fire was reported "knocked down" about 23 minutes after the initial call.

There were no injuries as two residents were able to get out before the fire progress from the porch into the front wall of the home.
