Finding The Best TV Mom

Who is your favorite TV Mom of all time? I know that's a tough one as there are so many to choose from. If you go back to the early days of TV you may pick Lucy or June Creaver or maybe you have a TV mom from the 80's you are thinking of.  There are also many great moms on TV today. So picking just one TV mom is going to be tough.

Watching a lot of TV as a kid, I would watch these moms doing their motherly thing and foolishly compare them to my mom. This was especially true when I got in trouble and would compare the discipline these TV kids would get from Mrs. Brady of The Brady Bunch or what Richie or Joanie would get from Mrs. C on Happy Days, which come to think of it, I don't think Richie or Joanie ever got disciplined from Mrs. C. In fact I'm trying to remember if they ever got in trouble on Happy Days. I guess that's why they were called Happy Days.

Fast forward to 2016 and you have some great TV moms like Beverly Goldberg on the wonderful 80's-era comedy The Goldbergs. Talk about a mom who smothers her children!  Too funny. And then there is Claire and Gloria on Modern Family. Both are great moms in their own funny way.
