October 22nd is National Chemistry Week and our friends at Kopernik Observatory and Science Center are kicking it off with a "Chemistry is Out of This World" event. Kopernik is the premier observatory and science center in New York and they do so much in our community for kids and their families.

My daughter, Tara and I have gone to Kopernik several times for their events including "Look Up and Dream Big" where she took her telescope and observed the skies with the help of the Kopernik employees.
This is no surprise that they are doing this on Monday, October 22nd. The Department of Chemistry Outreach Program is inviting students from K to 6th grade and their families for a night of fun hands on activities. The best part is it's FREE.
You are also invited to Kopernik every Friday in October for Friday Night Family Hour beginning at 7 p.m. It's a chance to take a 3-D tour of the solar system then stick around for the Public Program at 8 p.m. Find out more about Friday Night Family Hour here.
Chemistry Out of This World begin at 5 p.m. on the 22nd, go here for information and directions. Kopernik is located at 698 Underwood Road in Vestal, so join them for an evening of science and fun that will be Out of this World!
