Endicott Man Convicted of Murder and Tampering With Evidence
Broome County District Attorney F. Paul Battisti has announced that a Broome County Jury has found Antoine C. Loup, Jr., a 51-year-old resident of Endicott, guilty of Murder in the Second Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
The trial, which took place on January 10, 2025, unveiled the chilling events that transpired on July 8, 2023, involving the fatal shooting of victim Aaron LeGare.
An Ill-Fated Encounter
It is reported that Loup went to a gathering near 4 Filmore Avenue in the Village of Endicott where LeGare and some other people were playing cards and listening to music. Loup asked the victim to come to his car to talk, but they ended up arguing. Loup got a gun and shot the victim in the chest. Afterward, Loup ran away and hid the gun in the attic of his apartment on North Arthur Avenue in the Village of Endicott.
