How Dirty is Your Phone
The next time you press that rectangular object against your face to answer a call, you may want to clean it first.
A study conducted by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine found one out of six smart phones contained fecal matter and that roughly ten times the germs and bacteria found a toilet seat.
You may not admit it, but most people look at their phones while sitting on the throne, and that could expose them to some pretty disgusting particles.
I just read a while ago that a company in Japan is installing toilet paper dispensers specifically to clean your cell phones after you do your business, and that could make its way over here.
If you are one of the many who use your phone in the bathroom I would suggest you have some cleaning supplies available to keep your phone clean.
There are many suggestions on how to clean off your smart phones, I always have some of those wipes handy for everything from cleaning counters, sinks and the bowl, and you can gently wipe off your phone with one of these.
Others suggest using a micro cloth or lint free cloth and putting a little alcohol and water solution on it to clean and kill germs.
Make sure that you do not use any strong solutions or harsh materials that could scratch or fog up your phones screen.
If you’re looking to remove dirt and finger prints from your phone, a little scotch tape in the cracks and crevices of your phone will help, although it will not remove germs, so you should follow up with my suggestion on how to clean and kill germs.
There are devices out there that will clean and sanitize your phone, but since I am not promoting any one’s products, you’ll have to seek them out yourself.
It is a good idea to keep your phones clean and germ free and hey if you use your phone during potty time, your secret is safe with me.
