This week is National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.  Tonight Davis College and Broome Community College will use their basketball games to increase awareness.

At 6pm, the Davis College Falcons will play against Onondaga.  At 8pm, the BCC Hornets play against SUNY Delhi. All who attend are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for CHOW (Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse) and raising funds for Whitney Place,  the Rescue Mission's supportive housing residence for homeless men in Binghamton.

the Rescue Mission is celebrating its 125th year and operates programs in Binghamton(as well as other NY areas) and operates 12 Thrifty Shopper stores. Red Rescue Mission bracelets are a dollar each tonight and your also being asked to bring cans of non-perishable food for CHOW.  You can find out more about the Rescue Mission at rmlifechanging.org.  So enjoy some local college basketball action tonight and you can do your part to help the hunger and homeless this week and this holiday season.
