A scientist. A chef. A mechanic. An astronomer. Much like most every other kid in the world, my son dreams of growing up to become a variety of things and as his mama, I'm excited to see what career path he ends up picking. But for now, my husband and I are working hard to foster excitement in each of the areas that our son shows interest in.

Before our son was born, my husband and I used to spend weekends together in the kitchen whipping up old recipes and concocting new ones. The time that we got to spend together in the kitchen and my heart swelled when my little boy expressed an interest in cooking because it meant our family could have another thing to do together that we all enjoy participating in.

My son calls me the executive chef, my husband is the sous chef, and he is the commis chef. Our family spends a lot of time in the kitchen cooking, laughing, and making memories and this is one of our favorite weekend breakfast treats to make. The best part about it is that it's simple enough that everyone in the family and help make it and it tastes delicious!
