Horseheads Restaurant To Be Featured on New Food Network Show
Can you even stand the excitement? First, there were several eyewitness sightings of David Bromstad from HGTV in Vestal and Owego (we still are dying to know if he’s filming or if he’s just visiting) and now we’ve learned that...dun ta-da dun...Food Network just filmed a show at a Southern Tier restaurant!
Way back in 2019 (and it really does feel like 2019 was way in our past, doesn’t it?), a production company approached the owners of Beefeater Tavern in Horseheads and asked if they’d be interested in being part of a Food Network show called ‘Chef Boot Camp.’
From what we can gather, the concept of ‘Chef Boot Camp’ is to find restaurants that could be so much better than they are if only their kitchen staff and food were more buttoned up. According to WENY, Joe and Stacey White own Beefeaters Tavern and were super excited about the possibility of being part of ‘Chef Boot Camp,’ but they weren’t sure if their head cook, Patrick O’Leary would be as into the idea as they were. Turns out O’Leary was and we’ll get to see all the juicy everything unfold on our televisions.
What can we expect to see on the Beefeater Tavern episode? According to the Food Network, the Horseheads show episode is called Sloppy, Snarky, and Silent (so scandalous sounding!) and we’ll see Chef Cliff Crooks work with the head chef of Beefeater Tavern who is described as having, “sloppy appearance and subpar culinary skills” and that those traits, “threaten his success.”
‘Chef Boot Camp’ will air Thursday nights at 10:00 p.m. on the Food Network with its premiere episode this Thursday, April 8. The episode featuring Beeteater Tavern in Horseheads will air at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15.
