A home improvement project in Endwell was just being finished as an out-of-control vehicle crashed into the house, causing thousands of dollars in damage.

A 2003 Chrysler Concorde smashed into the single-family house at 2 Delaware Avenue around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

No injuries were reported in the spectacular crash, which occurred near the Gault Toyota car dealership on North Street.

People at the crash scene said the woman who lives in the house was not home at the time of the incident.

Workers from J.K.S. Home Improvement had just completed work on a major remodeling job at the home.

Town of Union code enforcement personnel were assessing the damage to the structure.

New York State Police troopers were interviewing the man who had been driving the car.

According to WBNG, the 19-year-old driver was unlicensed and was expected to be ticketed in connection with the crash.
