Although she gave it a valiant effort and our community rallied behind her, 911 Dispatcher Michelle Hibler Jenkins was unable to slide into the quarter-finals in the 'Favorite Chef' contest, but she did make it into the semi-finals which is a massive accomplishment.

Michelle, a 13-year 911 dispatch veteran was attempting to win the 'Favorite'Chef' contest so that she could donate all of the proceeds to the Broome County Communications 911 Center so that those who work there would finally be able to have a decent kitchen and breakroom.

While she didn't win the contest, Michelle is so thankful for our community and how so many rallied around her, voting for her each day and since her family's halupki recipe is what she submitted to the contest and quite famous around these parts (her family owned Sharkey's), Michelle wanted to say thank you to everyone by opening the family recipe vault and sharing her special recipe with our community.
