The NJIT Highlanders hung with the Binghamton Bearcats through the first quarter in women's basketball at the Events Center on Monday night. But after that Binghamton opened up the lead and never looked back cruising to a 75-40 victory.  Senior standout Kai Moon paced all scorers with 27 points and is now averaging 21.4 points per game.

The win puts Binghamton's record at 11-2.  It is the best start in 20 years for BU women's basketball.  The only America East team with a better record is Stony Brook.  The Seawolves are 12-1 heading into conference competition.

Binghamton faces two tough conference tests to open the America East schedule.  Starting things of is a Sunday 2:00 PM game in Albany and then a trip to suburban Baltimore next Wednesday to face the UMBC Retrievers.  Binghamton's first conference home game is Saturday, January 11 at 2:00 PM vs UMass Lowell.
