The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team ended their season with an 89-70 loss at the University of New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.  Binghamton's loss combined with Maine's 74-48 win over UMBC clinched the final playoff spot for the Black Bears in the upcoming America East playoffs. Maine plays its final regular season game on Tuesday night at Hartford.  Both Binghamton and Maine have four conference wins but even if Maine loses on Tuesday night they have the tie-breaker by virtue of winning both regular season meetings with Binghamton.

Sam Sessoms was the big gun again for the Bearcats with 38 points including 30 in the second half.  He was the only Bearcat to score in double figures.  The Wildcats had four players reach double figures and were led by a 20-point game from Sean Sutherlin.

The Bearcats close their season with a conference record of 4-12 and an overall record of 10-19.  With the victory New Hampshire ups its conference slate to 8-7 and overall to 15-13.  They have one regular season game remaining and that is home versus UMass Lowell on Tuesday night.
