The Bearcats are coming down to the wire with a one game lead on the Maine Black Bears for the last seed to qualify for a postseason spot. BU is 4-11 and Maine is 3-11.  The Black Bears host UMBC on Saturday and then finish regular season play at Hartford on Tuesday. Should Binghamton and Maine close with identical conference records the Black Bears get the playoff spot as the first tiebreaker is head to head meetings and Maine won both of those games. If the Bearcats win at New Hampshire and Maine loses to UMBC the Bearcats would finish eighth and head to Vermont for a quarterfinal game next Saturday, March 7.

The Wildcats are also facing a key game.  With two games to play they are in a three-way tie for fourth place at 7-7 with Albany and UMBC.  The top four finishers earn a home quarterfinal playoff game. The Wildcats are coming off of a come-from-behind win over Maine on Thursday night.  Sean Sutherlin is the top rebounder in America East averaging nine boards per game and Nick Guadarrama is fourth with 7.3 rebounds per game.

Binghamton continues to be led by current America East Player of the Week Sam Sessoms who is averaging 18.8 points per game.  He scored a game-high 24 points in Bingamton's road win at UMBC on Thursday night.  George Tinsley is second in scoring for the Bearcats averaging 11.8 points per game.
